STRONG Pilates has announced an accelerated expansion across the United States following the recent opening of its first American studio in Stone Oak, San Antonio, Texas.

The brand, known for its Rowformer and Bikeformer machines, which integrate a reformer with a rowing or cycling component—plans to expand its footprint with 77 new locations across the country. The franchise has already secured multi-site agreements in major areas like Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Diego, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, along with individual locations in Houston and Long Island. Specific sites in Long Island include Cinco Ranch, Syosset, Garden City, Commack, and Ronkonkoma.

Additionally, STRONG Pilates is set to open up to 30 corporate-owned studios across Florida and Texas, including a flagship corporate location in Hermosa Beach, California. Co-founders Mark Armstrong and Michael Ramsey, both Australian fitness entrepreneurs, have highlighted the U.S. as a crucial growth market for their brand, attributing the demand to rising interest in low-impact, high-intensity workout options.

“There is increased demand in the United States for a boutique, multi-modality offering such as STRONG Pilates,” said Armstrong and Ramsey. “Our expansion plans are indicative of a unique offering entering the U.S. market which has already seen incredible growth across nine countries. With over 100 studios confirmed in our first year of entry, this is the start of an expansive roll-out of an unparalleled fitness format.”

The Stone Oak studio, launched in September, marked STRONG Pilates’ 70th location worldwide and has already garnered notable attention, with San Antonio Spurs’ player Zach Collins among the early adopters of the brand’s fitness experience.

Operating in nine countries—including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Singapore, Canada, the Philippines, and Indonesia—STRONG Pilates aims to expand further in the Asia and Middle East regions, with new studios planned for Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Dubai, and Bahrain.
