Montreal-based FLiiP, a provider of fitness business management software, has experienced significant expansion, achieving triple-digit growth over the past year. To support its continued development, the company has raised $3.2 million USD in seed funding. The investment round was led by Cultivation Capital, based in St. Louis, Missouri, with participation from Boreal Ventures in Montreal.

The funding will enable FLiiP to build on its momentum by scaling operations, expanding into the U.S. market, and enhancing its product capabilities. The company serves multi-location fitness businesses, including commercial gyms, functional training centers, and martial arts studios, providing tools to streamline operations and improve member services.

“As a gym owner, I know how frustrating it can be to juggle disconnected tools, scale operations, and adapt to evolving needs from gym members,” said David Bourbonnière, FLiiP’s Founder and CEO. “More than ever, gym owners and operators face immense challenges navigating the complexities of scaling their businesses across multiple locations.”

FLiiP currently operates in over 10 countries, with a focus on mid-sized gym businesses. The company plans to increase support for larger commercial chains, reflecting trends in the fitness technology market where operators seek consolidated, scalable solutions.

FLiiP intends to use the funding to expand its presence in North America, particularly in the U.S., the world's largest fitness market. The company also aims to invest in AI-driven analytics to enhance decision-making and improve business insights for its users.

The company will double its headcount over the next two years to support these initiatives. Bourbonnière and his team emphasize that the platform’s design is shaped by input from both current and former gym operators who understand the challenges of scaling fitness businesses.
