EGYM has acquired UK-based corporate fitness provider Hussle, significantly expanding its EGYM Wellpass network in the European corporate wellness market. Wellpass now offers access to over 1,500 gyms, pools, and spas across the UK, catering to 96% of UK postcodes and signaling EGYM's commitment to making fitness accessible and affordable for employees across Europe.

Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer, CEO of EGYM, commended Hussle's contribution to the wellness industry and aligned their mission with EGYM's preventive health focus. Jamie Ward, CEO of Hussle, expressed enthusiasm for joining EGYM, noting the shared vision of strengthening the fitness industry.

The acquisition highlights the growing importance of corporate wellness programs, which are increasingly adopted by companies to enhance employee productivity and reduce healthcare-related costs. The UK corporate wellness market, valued at £2.15 billion, is expected to grow to nearly £3 billion in the next five years. These programs often include fitness club memberships and online courses, offering tax benefits to employees and supporting broader national economic benefits.

This strategic move by EGYM and Hussle not only underscores the escalating demand for workplace wellness solutions but also showcases a joint effort to revolutionize the corporate fitness landscape, benefiting employers, employees, and the fitness industry alike. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
