Xponential Fitness, Inc. disclosed in an 8-K filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 12, 2024, that Sarah Luna, president of the company, has tendered her resignation. Luna’s departure, submitted on December 6, took effect on December 13, 2024.
Luna, who has served as president since 2021, brought a diverse range of experience to the global fitness company. Her career began as a professional dancer and Pilates instructor before she transitioned into business ownership as a Jazzercise franchisee. To further her understanding of the fitness business landscape, Luna earned an MBA from Chapman University.
Her connection to Xponential Fitness began in 2015 when she was hired by Anthony Geisler, founder and CEO of the company, after meeting him during a Pilates class. Luna initially served as national sales director and later as senior vice president of operations for Club Pilates. In those roles, she oversaw the opening of hundreds of studios and helped develop the sales processes now used across Xponential’s portfolio of brands.
Following Xponential’s acquisition of Pure Barre in 2018, Luna was promoted to president of the brand. During her tenure, she spearheaded a nationwide studio refresh, oversaw the conversion to ClubReady’s operating system, and streamlined operations to improve performance across its more than 570 locations worldwide.
In 2021, Luna was named president of Xponential Fitness at the age of 34, becoming one of the youngest women to hold a top executive role at a global fitness company.
Xponential Fitness, headquartered in Irvine, California, is the parent company of several boutique fitness brands, including Club Pilates, Pure Barre, and CycleBar. The company has not yet announced a successor for the role.
