Kettlebell training is a powerful way to build strength, power, and endurance through full-body movements. By combining strength and ballistic exercises, it challenges multiple muscle groups at once, improving mobility, stability, and overall fitness.
Recognizing the demand for kettlebell workouts, Peloton has introduced kettlebell training to its platform, expanding its strength category. The new offerings are now available on both the Peloton App and the Strength+ App, allowing members to integrate this dynamic form of strength training into their routines.
"Kettlebell training, one of Peloton Members’ most requested Strength specialties, is now available across the Peloton App and the Strength+ App," the company stated in a recent announcement. "Whether looking to explore a new way to strength train or to level up an established foundation, Peloton’s dynamic content offerings and expert coaching create a holistic fitness experience to meet Members where they are."
Peloton’s kettlebell classes incorporate a mix of ballistic movements and traditional strength exercises. The classes are led by Peloton instructors Jess Sims, Andy Speer, Katie Wang, Logan Aldridge, Rebecca Kennedy, Jermaine Johnson, Joslyn Thompson Rule, and Assal Arian. The workouts include Kettlebell Strength, which consists of 80 percent strength moves and 20 percent ballistic movements, and Kettlebell Conditioning, which incorporates 60 percent ballistic moves with a 40 percent mix of bodyweight and high-rep, low-weight strength exercises. For those looking for a hybrid approach, Kettlebell Strength & Conditioning offers an even split of both styles. Additionally, Kettlebell Basics provides instructional classes focused on fundamental techniques and movements.
In the U.S., Peloton has also launched its first dedicated kettlebell program on the Strength+ App, featuring guest instructor Dre Mayes. A former Division 1 football player and NASM-certified personal trainer, Mayes collaborated with Peloton instructor Jess Sims to design a two-week immersive kettlebell program. The Strength+ App offers a gym-centric workout experience with custom workouts tailored to individual goals, preferences, and available equipment. It features multi-week, instructor-led programs that enhance member engagement and provide a structured progression in strength training.
With the introduction of kettlebell training, Peloton is adapting to the rising demand for strength workouts, offering new ways to engage members and boost retention. By expanding its strength offerings, the company aims to attract a broader audience and provide more value to grow its community.
