Founded just over three years ago, Nourish is a virtual care platform that connects patients with Registered Dietitians through a fully integrated model. The service is covered by insurance and addresses a range of nutrition-related conditions. Today, the company serves hundreds of thousands of patients across all 50 states and employs more than 3,000 W-2 RDs, forming the largest RD workforce in the country.

Nourish partners with commercial insurers, Medicare, and Medicaid, covering hundreds of millions of lives. According to the company, 94 percent of patients pay nothing out of pocket for services. Its care model combines personalized RD support with digital tools including AI-powered meal tracking, wearable and lab integrations, and a clinical assistant designed to reduce administrative burden for providers.

Reported outcomes include improvements in key clinical markers like A1C and LDL. Among patients taking GLP-1 medications, those who worked with a Nourish RD lost 33 percent more weight than those who did not, while also showing better medication adherence and fewer side effects.

The company was founded by three friends who personally experienced the role nutrition could play in managing chronic health conditions. Their approach aims to address widespread underutilization of dietitian services, despite being a covered benefit for most Americans.

Nourish is now positioned for further expansion following a $70 million Series B funding round, bringing total investment to $115 million. The round was led by J.P. Morgan Private Capital’s Growth Equity Partners, with participation from Thrive Capital, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Maverick Ventures, BoxGroup, Atomico, G Squared, and Pinegrove.

“We built Nourish to make healthcare radically better for millions of Americans — it’s the care we wanted ourselves during our own patient journeys,” said Aidan Dewar, co-founder and CEO. “We wanted to build a patient-friendly healthcare system with lifestyle change and nutrition as a first-line treatment, not an afterthought. We're combining cutting-edge AI with the best RD team in the country to deliver personalized care that actually works, at a fraction of the cost of traditional medicine. It is not only more effective and accessible, but also more human.”

The funding will accelerate product development, expand the company’s RD network, and deepen partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem. Nourish also plans to grow its internal team across all functions.

“Our healthcare system is at an inflection point, with chronic disease rates and costs rising to unsustainable levels,” said Sam Perkins, co-founder, president, and COO. “Payers are under growing pressure to find scalable solutions that actually work. Nourish meets this need by addressing the root cause of chronic disease — giving payers a powerful new lever to improve outcomes, bend the cost curve, and deliver a care experience members love.”
