In a move to make GLP-1 weight-loss medications more accessible, digital health company Noom has partnered with LillyDirect® pharmacy provider Gifthealth to offer direct delivery of Zepbound® in single-dose vials. The collaboration aims to simplify the prescription process and improve continuity of care for patients managing obesity or weight-related conditions.

The partnership enables Noom members prescribed Zepbound® to track real-time updates on medication fill status and shipping through the Noom interface. This streamlined process is designed to address a growing demand for medically supported weight management tools in the wake of rising GLP-1 adoption.

Zepbound®, a GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Eli Lilly and Company, was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for chronic weight management in adults with obesity or those who are overweight with at least one weight-related condition. It is intended to be used alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.

"The label on each FDA-approved GLP-1 medication makes clear they are to be used as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. We built Noom GLP-1 Companion with Muscle Defense™ to be that program," said Geoff Cook, Chief Executive Officer of Noom. "Which is why we are so excited for this integration. We applaud Lilly’s decision to offer Zepbound® in a more affordable vial format to cash-pay patients, which aligns with Noom’s mission to empower everyone, everywhere to live better longer."

Noom began incorporating branded GLP-1 medications into its platform in 2023. With this latest step, the company strengthens its role in the clinical weight-loss space, pairing prescription medication support with behavioral health tools.

“At Gifthealth, we are committed to making medication access as seamless and affordable as possible,” said Robert Hoppe, Executive Vice President of Life Sciences at Gifthealth. “By integrating with healthcare providers like Noom, we are ensuring that patients not only receive their authentic Zepbound® vials quickly and reliably but also have the support they need to maximize their health outcomes.”

Noom’s GLP-1 Companion includes a medication tracker, symptom monitoring, protein-focused meal planning, strength training programs, and education tailored to users prescribed Zepbound®.

The Zepbound® single-dose vial format is being offered at a lower price point for self-pay patients. According to Noom and Gifthealth, the effort is intended to expand access to individuals navigating chronic weight issues who may not be covered through insurance.
