LA Fitness Parent Company, Fitness International, Announces Major Acquisition of XSport Fitness

Fitness International, LLC, the operator behind well-known brands such as LA Fitness, Esporta Fitness, City Sports Club, and Club Studio, has announced its acquisition of XSport Fitness. This strategic move significantly bolsters Fitness International’s presence in the Chicagoland, New York, and Virginia markets.
Jill Greuling, President of Club Operations at Fitness International, expressed her enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "We are proud to add XSport Fitness’ facilities to our nationwide network of health clubs. This expansion solidifies our position as one of the largest privately-held health club operators in the United States and provides the opportunity to bring our best-in-class fitness experience, with the widest range of amenities and the friendliest service at an affordable price, to more people across the country. With today’s acquisition, Fitness International has once again invested in its members."
Effective immediately, Fitness International will take over operations of XSport Fitness’ 35 locations. The company has committed to honoring all active membership agreements at their current rates, including those for personal training services. Additionally, active XSport Fitness members with multi-club privileges will gain access to all LA Fitness locations nationwide, while those with single-club memberships will retain access to their respective clubs.
In an effort to provide seamless transitions and continued employment opportunities, LA Fitness has been engaging with XSport Fitness club-level employees. Many have already joined the LA Fitness team, ensuring a smooth integration of services and support for members.
Fitness International is dedicated to enhancing the newly acquired facilities. Plans include rebranding these locations under one of Fitness International’s four established brands and investing in upgrades to improve the member experience.
