Blink and You're Married: Fitness Chain Offers a Fresh Spin on Valentine's Day Weddings

Cupid's arrow is aiming for an unexpected target this Valentine's Day as Blink Fitness pumps up the charm, transforming its gyms into quirky love havens far from the traditional wedding aisle. The health-focused franchise is offering an opportunity that's nothing short of a matrimonial marathon, inviting couples to say "I do" amidst the dumbbells and treadmills of its Park Slope, Brooklyn, and Huntington Park, California locations. The chain is rolling out the red carpet for up to seven couples per location, offering a ceremony that's more about burning love than burning calories

Each couple will enjoy the full workout of wedding planning without breaking a sweat: an ordained officiant to make it official, evites to summon their squad, a photographer to capture the gains and the love, and even a spread of food and drinks to refuel for the reception. To top it off, the first three couples to register will receive a $1,000 Visa gift card, ensuring their journey to marital bliss starts on the right foot—or treadmill.

"At Blink, we believe in being a fun and positive force in our communities and in the lives of our members," said Guy Harkless, President of Blink Fitness. "We see so many couples who share their love of fitness together, and we wanted to honor and celebrate them this Valentine's Day with the chance for a truly novel experience to kick off their wedded bliss. Given our mission to provide high quality, affordable and accessible gyms in many underserved neighborhoods, we are excited to both remove some of the high costs of a wedding and contribute to a special memory for these adventurous couples."

Whether or not couples choose to don athletic wear in lieu of traditional wedding attire remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: this Valentine's Day, Blink Fitness is where love gets a healthy start.
