San Diego-based fitness studio software startup Walla has hired Beth Potter as its new Vice President of Sales. Potter, who has over ten years of experience in driving sales performance and optimizing revenue growth, will be responsible for expanding Walla’s software usage both domestically and internationally. She will report directly to CEO and Founder Doug Hecht.

Previously, Potter served as the Chief Experience Officer at Studio Grow, a fitness consulting firm. She also has experience at Self Esteem Brands, where she managed multiple fitness brands and developed sales strategies focused on revenue growth through innovation. Potter has participated in industry panels and podcasts, where she has discussed leadership and team development in the health and wellness sector.

Potter, who co-owns several fitness studios, understands the challenges of studio ownership and the role that software can play in supporting business success. “I am excited to join Walla and work with a software company that aligns with my values and prioritizes client relationships,” said Potter.

In her role at Walla, Potter will oversee a team that includes recent hire Ashley Umann, who will focus on franchise sales and engagement. According to Laura Munkholm, President and Co-founder of Walla, Potter’s experience and approach to relationships are key assets for the company as it continues to grow.

Walla, which supports a range of boutique fitness studios, has a workforce that is 53% women, a figure that exceeds the tech industry average. The company’s partners include Red Light Method, The River Yoga, Barre & Soul, The Dailey Method, and Elevate Training.
