NASM Appoints Miriam Vega Perry as New VP of International

The National Academy of Sports Medicine® has announced the appointment of Miriam Vega Perry as its new Vice President of International. With over 20 years of experience in driving business success across diverse global markets, Vega Perry brings extensive expertise to her new role.

Vega Perry’s career includes leadership positions at major multinational companies such as Nestle, Caribe General Electric, and Apollo Global. Most recently, as Vice President of International at Ascend Learning, she led the Jones & Bartlett Learning Group and Public Safety Group portfolios, where her strategic market initiatives and partnerships drove double-digit growth for the company’s international division.

“I am honored to lead NASM’s international efforts and work alongside the team to expand our global footprint and impact,” said Perry. “We will continue to uphold NASM’s reputation as a leader in fitness and wellness education by introducing innovative programs and courses to new audiences around the world.”

In her new role, Vega Perry will be responsible for overseeing NASM’s global expansion strategy. She will focus on strengthening operations in existing markets while exploring opportunities for growth in new regions. Her appointment reflects NASM’s commitment to fostering innovation and growth within the fitness and wellness industry at an international level.

Vega Perry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is fluent in three languages and has deep experience working across international markets and cultures.
