Strength training has long been a cornerstone of fitness, but the way people train is changing. Artificial intelligence, digital resistance, and data-driven insights are shaping how workouts are personalized, making them more efficient and safer. In the fitness industry, operators are increasingly looking for technology that enhances member experience while delivering measurable business outcomes. As AI takes a larger role in training methodologies, new advancements are refining strength programming, assessing mobility, and streamlining club management.

EGYM has introduced a series of updates aimed at improving how members train and how clubs operate. The latest additions to its ecosystem include the M20 Smart Strength Squat, a Squat Flexibility Test integrated into the Fitness Hub, and an upgraded Business Suite 2.0 to simplify operations. At the core of these advancements is EGYM Genius, an AI-powered system that adapts workouts in real time, optimizing both individual training experiences and overall facility performance.

Squats are widely recognized as an essential movement for building strength and mobility, but poor form and excessive load can increase the risk of injury. The M20 Smart Strength Squat is designed to address these challenges by guiding users through controlled movement patterns and adjusting resistance automatically. The machine incorporates adaptive training methods, including explonic and negative modes, which modify resistance levels based on an individual’s strength profile.

"Smart Strength machines are designed to create a safer and more effective training experience by using real-time data to personalize workouts," an EGYM spokesperson said. "The Smart Strength Squat builds on this foundation, ensuring that users perform squats with optimal resistance and movement patterns."

The machine connects with EGYM’s broader ecosystem, allowing users to track progress and receive AI-driven recommendations through EGYM Genius.

To further enhance assessments, EGYM has introduced a Squat Flexibility Test within its Fitness Hub, an onboarding system that provides real-time analysis of body composition, flexibility, and movement patterns. The new test evaluates mobility, balance, and strength, generating a BioAge Flexibility Score that correlates movement capacity with biological age. These insights help trainers create more targeted programming while giving members a clear metric to track progress.

"By leveraging 3D analysis, the test delivers a precise assessment of a member’s mobility and strength," an EGYM representative said. "This ensures that trainers can tailor programs to individual needs, reducing the risk of injury and improving long-term outcomes."

EGYM Genius, which launched in 2024, continues to refine training recommendations through real-time workout tracking. The AI system adjusts workouts based on individual performance and integrates insights from over 200 fitness brands, providing gym operators with automated, data-driven programming to enhance member engagement.

"Every recorded workout feeds back into Genius, allowing AI-driven personalization at scale," the company stated. "This technology supports both trainers and members in achieving their fitness goals more efficiently."

Beyond training, EGYM has also updated its Business Suite 2.0, a platform designed to simplify gym management. The system features single sign-on access to all EGYM services, offering a centralized, data-driven club management solution.

With these advancements, EGYM continues to expand its AI-powered fitness ecosystem, combining technology and training solutions to improve both member outcomes and operational efficiency.
