Welcome to Action Potential Fitness, where fitness is for everybody!

Co-owner Toni Harris believes that it's not enough to put a rainbow sticker on your window; you need to truly understand and support diversity and inclusion. As a non-binary trans masculine human, Toni saw a lack of safe spaces for the queer and trans community, as well as issues with disability and racial diversity in traditional fitness spaces. That's why they co-founded Action Potential Fitness with Zita Dube-Lockhart, where everyone is welcome.

The gym has gender-neutral washrooms and unique intake forms to make everyone feel comfortable. They offer wellness programs that support psychoemotional health, including those dealing with PTSD, depression, and anxiety. Additionally, the gym recently launched "Trans Formed," a fitness program developed by trans people for trans people, which received overwhelming interest from the community. This program was developed with collaborative education and community in mind, and all of these factors are taken into consideration when training the trans population.

Action Potential Fitness has worked hard to create a safe space for all, but they know that not all feedback has been positive. This serves as a reminder that the fitness industry has a responsibility to prioritize diversity and inclusion and create safe spaces for all. Learn from Action Potential Fitness and be a part of the inclusive fitness movement that is changing the fitness industry for the better.
